Cure Your Gemtone Jewelry

One of the questions that interests many of us is how to clean our jewelry. There are different general rules or traditions. One of them is to use toothpaste and toothbrush (what I normally do with gold and silver). Others speak about dish and clothe cleansers that are good for gold and similar metalls. But these agents are too dangerous for some jewelry articles, so somebody advices to use liquid soap.

Well, all these methods are not bad if after the first treatment your jewelry remains alive.

I had a "story" some times ago. I dreamed about azurite and bought an item for me. When I finally received it, I saw that it was not azurite-azurite, but it was so incredibly beautiful, that I did not write about this problem to the shop where I purchased it ( It's an other indicator that something is not right in the gemstones: tooooo beautiful). One day I wanted energize my marvellous stone and leaved it for some time in the morning sun. Unfortunatelly the sun in Italy is too hard specially in the morning, so my dream-stone was damaged. First of all it loose it's brillance and than, after some days... the tint began to fall from the beads... At the end now I have a nacked I don't know what.

I was shocked. My dream! My... How can it be???
I wrote to the shop. Except the dream there were $200 of payment. And they don't fall on my head as rain. Fortunatelly the owner answered and after some time wrote me that those were not azurite what they sent me, but dyed howlite.

So, if you have a stone remember these rules:

-gold plated things don't like the brushes
-turquoise, perls, coralls don't like soap
-many stones don't like parfumes, cold water, soap, cosmetics: makeups, cremes, bleaching agents,
-topazio can loose color on the sun, permanently
-perls can become opaque on the sun
-many PREcious gems lose color intensity on the sun
-all stones don't like high humidity. Don't keep your jewelry in the bathroom.

Once I read these "interesting" stories:
One lady wanted to dry her washed wet hairs and pushed the head ...in the microwave oven. The other lady wanted to dry her cat in the same way.

I told it to you that you don't laugh about my next advises:
take off all your jewelry if you do physiotherapy, take mineral baths, clean something with acids ecc.
Opal for example can be completely dissolved in an alkali...

In any case, as I wrote in one of my previous posts, many stones are not only polished but treated with oils ecc to give the opaque stone it's brillance, so if you don't cure your stones the article will lose it's beautiful look quickly.

Tip of the week

If you are not enough wealthy try the meditation with yellow flower (natural or virtual). Imagin that the yellow color emanates it's vibrations and enters in your solar plexus. Feel it in this chakra. Than imagin all the negativity going out from your solar plexus and dissapearing in the center of the yellow flower.
It will take away the blocks that don't allow you to become wealthy. The other dipends from you.
