Differences in the Prices of the Semiprecious Stones

Semiprecious stones are able to create in us very special feelings. Did you notice that you really love this or that necklace, bracelet or ring not for the look YOU have wearing it but you lov the stone themselve? It's fascinating, don't you think?

Because I got in love with them, I wanted to know where they come from and how is possible that the nature can create such beauties.

I just wrote some posts about the places where the geologists find the stones (thanks to my blogger-friend geologist Michael Leikum and his book "Mysterious Stone of Zar Alexander II") and museums of the stones. Here I publish photos taken by the friend of my husband Jose Luis in Cordoba, Museo Roscen.

You can see why some stones are more precious and others -less. Because there are many women that want to wear semipreciousa stones, all the parts of the minerals are used to satisfy our desire. They used only the central, precious, part before (left and right stones you see on the photo). Now, they do not throw all the non precious parts but sell them to us. That is why there are these differences of the prices. And than there are false stones too.

Summer is not for Semiprecious Stones

The weather is not too good in this period. It's too hot. We suffer not only the elevated temperatures but humidity maybe more. Everybody claims the sun activity but than rememberes that we are never content with it. Well, here, in Italy we have more "spring" months than in other places, so we have only survive July and August.

Why I write it here, in a blog about the semiprecious stones and hand-made jewelry? It's simple. It's unpossible to wear stones when you sweat every minute and you are bathed in it every minute even if you have the possibility to take bath every time you want.

Not only it's not pleasant, to have something sticked to the skin. The problem is for the stones too. They absorb sweat and become opaque.



What can we do with it? I think nothing. I personally avoid to wear anything except my wooden mala, and even them I do not like on the wrist. Patience is virtue, they say. We have to wait till August, 16. After "Ferragosto", the Italiasn feast of the middle of the August, air is not too hot more. And, if we speak about our stones, we finally can wear what we like.

Till that period I have to make different bracelets for my friends. Everybody loves them. One moment... I'll find the address... Here, Garnet Red. I even have to make one for me because my friend asked me to gift her MY bracelet and earrings from ametyst. So, I have much to do this summer. :-)))

I hope, you can go to swimm. Do it for me too, because I can't, sea is far from here. I could swimm only once else...
