The most beautiful malachite was in Russia. The mines are actually worked-out but if you want to visit Russia, you can see the splendour of malachite in Hermitage in Saint Petersburg. There is even a Malachite room there. I found this video where you can see the photos of those objects of incredible beauty...Russian miners created many fables about the semiprecious stones they had to find and to work for zar and nobles.
