Necklaces -New Trend

I receive different newsletters that tell me about fashion and new trends. I try to illustrate here the mopst interesting ideas, translating them in the jewelry with semiprecious stones and pieces I have for sale.

The idea I like very much and that I would surely follow -specially for the feasts even if the designers advise to wear the necklaces in our everyday life- is the combination of different necklaces made with totally different stuff. They offer to combine short and long necklaces, too. Some of examples I've seen showed necklaces that approximatelly weight about 2-3 kg.

I took the necklaces I have actually ready for sale and here are two examples of what we can make with our necklaces.

The first example is made from 3 necklaces:
1 and 2 -Black Onyx, Opalite and Swarovsky Crystals, 3 -red Jasper and Opalite. Very nice.

Here I tryed to repeat the combination of many necklaces from short to very long and from Ametyste to Tourmaline and Fluorite. I was skeptical about the result but I have to admit that it is not so bad as I thought at the beginning.

When I visited the exhibition "archaeological tourism in Italy", I've seen a genial solution that found one of the visitors. She took 2 different necklaces fastened to form one long necklace.

Evergreen Beauty of Malachite

Malachite is my favourite stone, I said it here many times probably. I have my personal malachite jewels (and only one mixed-stone necklace for sail actually, you can see it on the photo, if you are interested). I wear them very often. I had them today, too. Malachite is splendid. It donates me that feeling of warm... The most beautiful malachite was in Russia. The mines are actually worked-out but if you want to visit Russia, you can see the splendour of malachite in Hermitage in Saint Petersburg. There is even a Malachite room there. I found this video where you can see the photos of those objects of incredible beauty...

Russian miners created many fables about the semiprecious stones they had to find and to work for zar and nobles. Some words about them, that fables, you can find in this my article Hostess of the Copper Mountainin my other blog. To stimulate your inspiration, here is an other slide show.

Gold Necklace

Do you have gold necklaces? Well, it's a strange question, you think maybe. Everybody has gold necklaces today. It's a kind of status quo for modern persons.

Gold looks good with some stones, too. I like it with Carnelian, for example. Rock Quartz is interestings with gold. But I don't like gold with Malachite. I like Malachite with nieloed silver...

Today, I want to show you a very particular gold necklace

necklace

Maybe you did just understand. It's a piece from the National  museum of Santa Maria Capua Vetere,Italy. And, if I'll confess you the age of this necklace, you will not believe me -so good and modern work and fine finishings... We expect to see something rough, not very interesting. Something that only specialists can appreciate.

This set comes from IV century before Christ... Incredible?
