Robert Guiscard's Cross

This cross decorated with stones is possible to see in the Museum of the Diocese in Salerno. Except the historical value it could not have other interest specially for this blog about the fashion and womens' "toys".

But if you like to create something special, you can appreciate the idea I'll show you now.

When I saw this cross, I thought, it's possible to create something similar with the stones and copper wire I have. It will be difficult to find a "precious" base but the idea is not bad, don't you think? It can be an object or a picture with the inserts similar to those you see on the photo. Or maybe a kind of frame for a precious photo. In this case it is possible to use even simple supports that will make the ornament more precious.

Someone will say that the stones are not good with the simple supports. But I can object that the stones we use are not precious but semiprecious. So, the base can be simple enough -important is that it shows the qualities of the stones and embellishes the work.
